Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a skilled Sonographer with 2+ years in high-risk Maternal Fetal Medicine to join the Tacoma area team. The role focuses on detailed anatomy, BPP, growth and Doppler studies in a fast-paced MFM department, with 8-10 studies per day and no on-call requirements.

Main site is Tacoma, WA, with additional locations at Lakewood, Gig Harbor, and Federal Way. ARDMS certification, BLS, and EPIC experience are essential; travel and licensure reimbursements are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience in Maternal Fetal Medicine, high-risk sonography.
• ARDMS certification required.
• BLS certification (AHA) required.
• License required if applicable.
• EPIC experience used in this role.
• Must be a self-starter and strong team player in a fast-paced environment.
• Driver's license required at time of consideration.

Responsibilities

• Acute care setting within a Maternal Fetal Medicine department.
• Main location in Tacoma, WA with 3 additional sites (Lakewood, Gig Harbor, Federal Way).
• Perform detailed anatomy scans, BPP, growth studies, Doppler studies and twin studies.
• Average of 8-10 studies performed per day.
• Uses GE and Phillips ultrasound machines.
• EMR is EPIC with ViewPoint bridge to PACS.
• Monday through Friday schedule (7:30 AM-4:00 PM or 8:00 AM-4:30 PM) with 30 min lunch.
• No weekend, holiday, or call/standby requirements.
• May require floating to additional sites outside the main Tacoma location.
• Scrubs color policy: any color acceptable.
• Orientation includes partnering with an experienced technologist; 12 hours of orientation provided.
