Qualifications

Job description

American Traveler is hiring a General Ultrasound Technologist for a night shift assignment requiring ARDMS certification and 2+ years of experience.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
• Current ARDMS certification or equivalent required; ARDMS RVT preferred
• BLS certification required
• License required if applicable
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Experience with transplant studies (liver and renal) preferred
• Proficiency in isolation precautions and PPE use
• 3 years of experience highly preferred for first-time travelers

Responsibilities

• General Ultrasound unit in a teaching hospital setting
• Adult patient population including Emergency Department, ICU, and portable exams
• Performs OB/GYN (1st and 2nd trimester), abdominal, vascular, renal/pelvis, and small parts ultrasound studies
• Vascular studies include aorta, carotid, upper and lower extremity arterial and venous imaging
• Uses Philips and Siemens ultrasound equipment
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Night shift, 4x10 hours, Wednesday-Saturday from 20:30 to 7:00
• Perform general, OB/GYN, vascular, renal/pelvis, and small parts sonography exams
• Conduct transplant studies including liver and renal imaging as needed
• Accepts local candidates
• Willing to work 2 of the 3 major holidays occurring during the contract
• May be required to wear a mask if not vaccinated for COVID-19
