Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Ultrasound Technologist for a 12-week assignment in Monroe, LA. The role requires 1 year of ultrasound experience, ARDMS and BLS certifications, and state licensing where required. Expect 40 hours/week with days shift, and travel compensation with a stipend.

You will operate ultrasound equipment, assist radiologists, educate patients, and maintain records. Strong anatomy knowledge and PACS familiarity are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• 1 year of ultrasound experience required.
• Must have ARDMS and BLS certifications and applicable state licensing.
• Ability to stand/walk long periods and handle exam preparation.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families about procedures.
• Operate ultrasound equipment and identify areas of concern.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist radiologists with procedures.
• Report abnormalities to medical staff promptly.
• Maintain equipment and document findings in reports.
• Conduct scans and write interpretable reports.
• Maintain accurate patient records and use PACS.
