Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Ultrasound Technologist for a 13‑week assignment in Vicksburg, MS. The role requires 1 year of ultrasound experience, BLS, ARDMS certification, and state licensing where required. You will conduct scans, prepare patients, and assist Radiologists with procedures.

Responsibilities include patient education, equipment maintenance, report writing, and accurate record keeping. Travel role with 40 hours/week, shift 8 hours days, and a tax-free stipend may apply.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of ultrasound experience.
• Must have BLS, ARDMS, and applicable state licensing.
• Candidates must be able to stand/walk for long periods and understand anatomy/physiology.
• Additional certifications may be required before starting assignment.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families regarding procedures.
• Operate ultrasound equipment and identify areas of concern.
• Prepare exam room and assist Radiologists with ultrasound procedures and biopsies.
• Report abnormalities to medical staff for immediate attention.
• Maintain equipment and report any failures.
• Conduct scans and write reports; maintain patient records.
• Know how to use the McKesson PACS system.
