Job summary

TalentBurst, Inc is seeking a travel Ultrasound Technologist for a travel job in Covington, Louisiana. The position features a 12 hour night shift, 36 hours per week, and a 12-week duration with potential to float between SMH campuses.

You will perform abdominal, OB-GYN, and vascular imaging under ARDMS and BLS requirements. Applicants should have 2 years of sonographer experience and Maternal Fetal Medicine exposure.

Qualifications

• Completion of CAHEA approved formal training program in diagnostic medical sonography.
• 2 years of sonographer experience.
• Maternal Fetal Medicine experience.

Responsibilities

• Verifies physician order and procedure to ensure accuracy.
• Uses radiology information systems to facilitate care.
• Explains procedure to patient to ensure understanding.
• Independently operates equipment to complete imaging procedure according to protocol (including assisting radiologists in guided procedures).
• Reviews patient images prior to transmission to ensure images meet diagnostic quality standards.
• Completes timely quality control procedures in accordance with regulatory standards and performing notification/remediation as warranted.
• Assists in the facilitation of departmental operations (inventory, staff schedules, equipment maintenance, etc.).
• Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including respect for privacy and communication.
• Performs other related duties as required.
