Qualifikationen

• Completion of CAHEA approved formal training in diagnostic medical sonography.
• Minimum of 2 years of sonographer experience.
• Maternal Fetal Medicine experience preferred.
• ARDMS certification required; AB/OB-Gyn or Cardiac ultrasound certification.
• BLS and RVT certifications required within two years of hire.

Aufgaben

• Verify physician orders and procedures for accuracy.
• Operate imaging equipment and assist radiologists as needed.
• Explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding and consent.
• Review images for diagnostic quality before transmission.
• Perform quality control and comply with regulatory standards.
• Support department operations (inventory, staff schedules, equipment maintenance).
• Adapt communication to patient populations and maintain privacy and dignity.
