Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry Float position in Massachusetts, requiring an active MA RN license and prior acute care and telemetry experience. The role involves night shifts on a 3x12-hour schedule, with weekend and holiday coverage and a float pool assignment within Telemetry.

Candidates must pass telemetry and medication exams during orientation and meet mileage and residency requirements.

Qualifications

• Active MA RN license required.
• Minimum of 18 months acute care experience.
• Minimum of 1 year telemetry experience.
• BLS certification required, ACLS preferred.
• Epic charting system experience required.
• Skills in respiratory care, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and medication administration including PCA.
• Experience with chest tubes (Emerson/PleurEvac) and continuous bladder irrigation (CBI).
• Two references required for consideration, at least one from a Nurse Manager or higher.

Responsibilities

• Float position within the Telemetry unit.
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM.
• 36 hours per week with every other weekend required.
• Every other holiday required, including a major holiday.
• Union facility with no special scheduling accommodations; must be able to work all 7 days of the week.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Provide telemetry nursing care as part of a float pool team.
• Must pass a telemetry exam (80% passing score) and a medication exam during orientation, each with only one attempt allowed.
• Failure to pass either exam will result in immediate contract cancellation.
• Study materials provided during compliance process and prior to startLocal candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Must reside within 200 miles of the facility.
• Returning staff must have a 12-month separation from the health system.
• Up to 14 days of RTO can be submitted for review, with no RTO allowed during the first week of the assignment.
