Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced Telemetry RN for a night-shift float pool in a tertiary teaching hospital setting in Michigan. Active MI RN license and BLS are required, with a minimum of 2 years telemetry experience and NIHSS training.

ACLS and NIHSS certification are a plus. The role involves 12-hour night shifts and every other weekend, with Cerner EMR usage for patient care and monitoring.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of RN telemetry experience
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) training required
BLS certification (AHA) required
ACLS and NIHSS certification preferred
Compact license not accepted

Responsibilities

Float pool placement across multiple hospital units (cardiac, oncology, women's and children's health, and medical/surgical)
Provide continuous patient monitoring via EKG and telemetry equipment
Night shift: 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Every other weekend requirement
No on-call responsibilities
Utilize Cerner EMR for patient documentation
Care for acutely ill patients including stepping down from ICU
Local candidates within 35-mile radius considered local travelers
RTO requests limited to 5 days
