Job summary

TotalMed RN in Chesapeake, VA seeks a Telemetry RN for a travel assignment. The nurse will perform Med Surg/Telemetry duties on a 13-week, 36-hour weekly schedule with nights and 12-hour shifts, joining a travel team.

Requirements include ACLS and BLS certifications and 2+ years of acute care experience. Travel RN responsibilities involve bedside care, telemetry monitoring, and rapid response to data on patient monitors.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• 2+ years of acute care experience preferred.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Monitor and adjust telemetry equipment and interpret digital displays.
• Identify irregular telemetry readings and notify the medical team.
• Initiate corrective action when monitoring equipment shows adverse signs.
