American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced Telemetry/Direct Observation Unit RN for a night shift stepdown position in California. Candidates must hold an active CA RN license with ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications and have at least 2 years of RN experience.

A driver's license, two professional references, and willingness to travel are required. The role involves IMC/DOU stepdown care in an acute care hospital, night hours 7p-7a, and mandatory orientation.

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license (Standard or Compact) in hand; no pending licenses accepted.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required.
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration.
• Two professional references: one supervisor within last 12 months and one peer or supervisor within last 3 years, with dates of employment and rehire eligibility.

Responsibilities

• IMC/DOU stepdown unit in an acute care hospital setting.
• Night shift schedule, 7p-7a.
• Every other weekend required.
• Priority floating for travelers.
• Uses Cerner EMR.
• Provide direct observation and telemetry monitoring care to stepdown patients.
• Complete 12 hours of orientation.
• Facility may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment.
• Candidates may not have been directly employed by any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility within the past year.
