Job summary

Cable Services Company, Inc. is seeking a Ground Hand/Laborer for projects across the Northeast, including frequent overnight travel. The role involves manual labor, tool use, and safety compliance while supporting telecom construction crews.

Required are a high school diploma and at least two years of driving experience, plus the ability to lift 80 pounds and work extended hours in various weather conditions. A DOT physical and drug screen may be required.

Qualifications

• Valid driving record with at least two years of driving experience.
• Ability to travel to projects in the Northeast with overnight stays.
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds and work 10+ hours when needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine construction tasks such as rope pulling, ladder work, tool use, digging, cable handling, and cleanup.
• Stock trucks with materials and organize materials, tools, and equipment.
• Set up and manage traffic control signs and cones; direct traffic as needed.
• Complete daily safety inspections and company documentation (timesheets, truck reports, expenses).
• Work safely and follow company safety policies; assist team to complete projects.
