rossorecruiting is seeking an entry-level Travel Tech - HVAC Controls Technician in Savannah, GA. You will travel with a mentoring senior technician on large commercial projects, learning the basics of HVAC controls and building automation.

Qualifications

• Universal EPA Basic HVAC fundamentals.
• Comfort using a meter and understanding VFD operation.
• Willingness to travel extensively.
• Interest in controls platforms is a plus but not required.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass drug/background checks.

Responsibilities

• Travel with and support a senior controls technician on large-scale commercial project sites.
• Assist with troubleshooting and servicing building automation and controls systems.
• Learn basic HVAC fundamentals and apply meter usage and VFD operation.
• Support installation, calibration, and servicing of front-end/back-end controls platforms.
• Follow safety standards on all job sites and grow toward independent controls work.

Job Title: Travel Tech - Entry-Level HVAC Controls Technician

About the Role: Are you looking to break into the controls side of HVAC with a company that will train you into a specialist? We're looking for an entry-level technician with basic HVAC fundamentals who wants to grow into a controls role, working alongside experienced controls technicians on high-visibility commercial projects. This role is built for someone eager to learn, willing to travel, and ready to build a long-term career path in building automation and controls.

Full-time position, based out of Savannah Heavy travel required — you'll be on the road with your mentoring tech

Pay rate $20–$35/hr, based on skill set and experience

You'll work directly alongside two experienced controls technicians, Career growth path from apprentice to full controls technician

• Assist with troubleshooting and servicing building automation and controls systems
• Learn and apply basic HVAC fundamentals — meter usage, VFD operation, and core system diagnostics

• Follow safety standards on all job sites
• Build toward independent controls work as skills develop
