American Traveler has an immediate opening for a Surgical Technologist (Surg Tech CST) in Peoria, Illinois, at a Magnet hospital. This travel assignment offers highly competitive pay and benefits, with personalized service from an established agency.

CSTs support the surgical team, maintain aseptic technique, and may specialize by case type or setting. Includes housing allowances, travel reimbursements, and per diem options.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of recent surgical tech experience.
• NBSTSA certification recommended.
• Valid CST license or state registration if required by the state.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Professional references available.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon during surgery and with patient transfers to/from the OR.
• Position patients on the operating table and prep them for surgery.
• Maintain aseptic technique; clean and sterilize the OR and instruments.
• Manage surgical supply inventory and place orders to ensure tools are available.
• S CSTs may specialize in case types and work in acute care hospitals or outpatient centers.
