Job summary
American Traveler Staffing Professionals seeks a Surgical Technologist for a travel assignment in a Colorado ambulatory surgery center. The role requires current Colorado licensure and at least 1 year of experience, with duties including sterile technique and instrument handling.
The position is a 13-week assignment with dayshift hours, supporting the surgical team in routine procedures and patient care within a fast-paced setting. Competitive weekly pay and lodging/meals stipends are included.

- Minimum 1 year of surgical experience.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Working knowledge of AORN standards.
- Basic computer skills for online learning and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Maintain sterile and aseptic technique while providing instrumentation to the surgical team.
- Ensure proper packaging, processing, and sterility of surgical items and equipment.
- Monitor the sterile field for contamination risks and initiates corrective action as needed.
- Participate fully in Time Out Process, including briefings and debriefings.
- Assist with patient transport, room turnover, and room preparation.
- Cleans and prepares instruments for terminal sterilization.
- Function under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

American Traveler seeks a Surgical Technologist for a surgery center position, requiring current Colorado licensure and at least 1 year of experience.
- Ambulatory surgery center setting in the operating room/surgical services department
- Cares for patients across all age groups, from neonatal/infant through geriatric populations
- Handles Tier 1 surgical cases
- Completion of a Certified Surgical Technologist program and/or Licensed Surgical Technologist required
- Current Colorado state license as a Surgical Technologist required (license required if applicable)
- Minimum of 1 year of experience required
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Working knowledge of AORN standards
- Basic computer skills necessary for online learning and documentation systems
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, with occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
- Maintains sterile and aseptic technique while providing instrumentation to the surgical team
- Ensures proper packaging, processing, and sterility of surgical items and equipment
- Monitors the sterile field for contamination risks and initiates corrective action as needed
- Participates fully in Time Out Process, including briefings and debriefings
- Assists with patient transport, room turnover, and room preparation
- Cleans and prepares instruments for terminal sterilization
- Functions under the direction of a Registered Nurse
- Must be HIPAA compliant and maintain professional behavior with current knowledge of surgical technologies
- CAPS registration required and may take up to two weeks to obtain
