Job summary
American Traveler Staffing Professionals seeks a Travel Surgical Technologist for an Ambulatory Surgery Center position in San Rafael, CA. Requires ophthalmology experience and a minimum of 5 years of related work. Openings are 1 with no weekends or on-call, 2x12-hr days, totaling 24 hrs/wk.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience required.
- Minimum of 1 year of related experience or training in a clinical setting and surgical scrub experience in an ambulatory surgery facility.
- Graduate of an approved course for OR Surgical Technologists.
- BLS certification required.
Responsibilities
- Assists surgical team members during operative procedures, including preparing sterile set-ups and passing instruments.
- Prepares surgical suite, supplies, and equipment to meet safety and infection control standards.
- Performs surgical scrub duties for pre-operative patient care.
- Assists RN with patient preparation, transfers, and counting procedures.
- Participates in time-out processes and identifies unsafe conditions.
- Assists with room turnover, cleanup, patient transport, and positioning.
- Maintains and orders inventory based on scheduled procedures and stock levels.
- Provides new employee orientation and training support as needed.
