Job summary
Amergis, a travel healthcare staffing provider in Moreno Valley, CA, is seeking a Surgical Technician to sterilize equipment, arrange instruments, and ensure devices function properly for procedures. This role offers 40-hour weeks with weekly pay in a travel setting.
Applicants should have Surgical Technologist certification where required, CPR, and health certification, with 1 year of experience preferred (Tissue Processing Technologist). Compliance with health and safety standards is essential.
Qualifications
- Surgical Technologist certification as applicable per state and/or client requirement.
- One year experience as a Surgical Technician preferred (Tissue Processing Technologist – only).
- Biology-related degree which includes a degree/certification as a Surgical Technologist preferred.
- Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
- Current CPR if applicable.
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Responsibilities
- Sterilization of surgical equipment.
- Arrange surgical equipment and adjust medical tools.
- Ensure that surgical devices are functioning properly.
