Description

American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist with at least 3 years of experience for a Trauma Level I acute care hospital position.

Details

• Acute care hospital OR unit with 8 rooms and a daily census of 25
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Weekend shifts required per unit needs
• Call requirements apply
• Floating required, including between sister facilities near the contracted site
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience required, 5 years preferred
• Prior travel experience required
• Trauma Level I experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• BLS certification required
• CST and NBSTSA certifications preferred
• CA state license preferred; license required if applicable
• Compact license must be in hand at time of submission for consideration
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• Scrubs or business casual attire permitted
• Support a wide range of surgical specialties including vascular, gynecology, plastics, neuro, orthopedic, general, urology, robotics, ENT, cardiovascular, thoracic, and bariatric procedures
• Maintain aseptic technique, isolation precautions, and PPE compliance
• Adhere to laser, radiation, and sharps safety protocols
• Participate in Universal Protocol (time out) procedures
• Support fire safety and emergency management protocols
• Assist with endoscopic and robotic-assisted procedures including Da Vinci Xi system cases
• Former Providence permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at a lower bill rate
• RTO limited to no more than 7 days and must be requested upfront
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays
