American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist for a hospital Operating Room position in Maine. The assignment is 13 weeks long, with 36 hours per week across four 9-hour shifts (7:00 AM-4:30 PM) and includes call shifts and on-call rotations.

Candidates must have at least 2 years of OR experience, an active CST/ORT license, BLS from the American Heart Association by start date, and EPIC EMR experience is preferred. Local Maine candidates within 90 miles are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of OR experience required.
• Active CST/ORT license required if applicable.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required by start date.

Responsibilities

• Hospital Operating Room setting.
• 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week, four 9-hour day shifts (7:00 AM-4:30 PM).
• Call shifts required, including weeknights and weekends.
• On-call rotation of approximately one weekend every 6 to 7 weeks and one weeknight per week.
• EPIC EMR used.
• 25-mile float policy between facilities as needed.
• Air pods, laptops, and cell phone usage prohibited on the unit.
• Local candidates within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility will be considered local.
• RTO should be kept to a minimum, with 3-4 days considered reasonable for this 13-week contract.
• Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months should disclose this at the time of consideration.
