American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist for an OR position in Morristown, NJ. Must maintain sterile field and adhere to OR policies as part of a hospital team.

Responsibilities include assisting in procedures, prepping instruments, and supporting surgeons. EPIC charting and potential float to nearby hospital may occur. Local candidates may be offered a lower rate.

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required.
• Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• License required if applicable.
• Experience maintaining sterile field and standard precautions in the OR.
• Ability to push/pull/lift up to 35lbs.
• Ability to tolerate long periods of sitting, standing, and/or walking.

Responsibilities

• Support in Hospital Operating Room unit.
• AM shift, 11a-12a, 3 days per week, 39 hours per week.
• May float to sister hospital nearby as needed.
• Uses EPIC for charting.
• Handle instruments, supplies, and equipment during procedures.
• Anticipate surgeon needs based on procedure.
• Follow physicians and RNs' instructions while adhering to OR policies.
• Maintain a safe environment and standard precautions at all times.
• Local candidates accepted at a lower rate.
