Forhyre seeks a Travel Nurse - Surgical Tech to join our Surgical Services team in Bakersfield, CA for a 13-week assignment. You will work the day shift, support the operating room team, and ensure adherence to sterile technique and patient safety.

The role requires an Associate Degree or Certificate in Surgical Technology and CST or NCCT-ST certification, with CPR/BLS preferred. Prior acute care experience is a plus.

Formación

• Associate Degree or Certificate of Program Completion in Surgical Technology required.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or NCCT-ST certification required.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Verify the surgery to be performed with consent forms and escort the patient to the operating room.
• Pass instruments to the surgeon during procedures and anticipate needs for instruments and supplies.
• Perform proper counts with the circulator prior to incision and before closing.
• Prepare sterile dressings and secure them after incision closure.
• Check supplies and equipment needed for the procedure and obtain sterile and unsterile items.
• Set up a sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications/solutions needed for the procedure.
• Assist with drape setup and prep instruments for terminal sterilization.
• Support room turnover and prep for the next patient.

Educación

Associate Degree or Certificate of Program Completion in Surgical Technology

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Tech in Surgery (NCCT-ST) certification

CPR/BLS certification preferred
