Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Preparing the operating room and ensuring it's safe and sterile.
• Passing sterile instruments and supplies to the surgeon.
• Counting supplies to ensure no foreign objects are left in the patient.
• Performing wound care and restocking the operating room.
• Participating in debriefing and quality improvement practices.

Skills

Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Strong interpersonal skills

Good organizational and time management skills

Education

Surgical tech training (formal or informal)

Certification in clinical specialty area (preferred)
