American Traveler is seeking a Surgical Tech for CVOR assignments in California. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 2 years of CVOR experience and BLS certification, with COVID vaccine verification and an active license for the state of submission. Pending licenses are not accepted.

The role involves acute care cardiovascular cases, 12-hour shifts, and on-call duties including weekend coverage. Cerner Surginet EMR is used, with facility-provided scrubs and orientation from a preceptor.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of CVOR surgical tech experience.
• BLS certification required.
• COVID vaccine certification required.
• Active state or compact (NLC) license required for state of submission; pending licenses not accepted.
• License required if applicable; must not have been employed by any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility in the past year.

Responsabilités

• Acute care hospital CVOR setting with 1 to 1 patient ratios.
• Support cases including CABG, valve repair, pacemaker insertion, lead extractions, and lung procedures.
• 12-hour day shifts with varied start times.
• Call required; approximately 1 weekend per month and 1–2 weeknights per week.
• Use Cerner Surginet EMR; report to Clinical Supervisor with support from OR leadership.
• Facility-provided scrubs and orientation with a preceptor; 12 hours general orientation.
• Shift coverage rules; up to 4 shifts may be canceled per 13-week assignment.
