Job summary

Slate Healthcare is seeking a travel Surgical First Assistant for a 13-week assignment in San Antonio, Texas. The role involves assisting surgeons in the operating room, preparing the surgical area, and handling instruments to ensure patient safety during procedures.

You will be expected to fulfill rotating call (one night per week minimum, one weekend every 5 weeks), hold BLS and ACLS certifications, and bring at least 1 year of OR circulator experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year OR circulator experience.
• BLS Certification required.
• ACLS Certification required.
• Willingness to fulfill rotating call (one night a week minimum, one weekend per 5-week schedule).
• Experience in orthopedics, general, gynecology, robotics, urology, vascular, cardiovascular, neuro or thoracic OR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons in the operating room during procedures.
• Prepare the surgical area and manage instruments.
• Ensure patient safety and maintain sterile technique in a fast-paced environment.
