Job summary

Junxion Med Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for STICU - Surgical Trauma Intensive Care in Asheville, North Carolina. This assignment is 13 weeks long, starts on 2026-09-28, and offers 36 hours per week with 12-hour night shifts.

Requires active nursing license, ACLS and BLS, plus trauma ICU and surgical ICU experience. Procedures include intubation, chest tube placement, central lines, proning, and CRRT/HD among others.

Qualifications

• Trauma ICU experience at Level I or II trauma centers.
• Surgical ICU experience required.
• Acute Care ICU skills; LTAC experience not considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform critical care procedures such as intubation and chest tube placement.
• Place and manage central lines and arterial lines.
• Assist with proning and airway management.
• Administer TPA and hypertonic medications as indicated.
• Support CRRT/HD and monitor ICU patients.
• Provide post-operative care for trauma and surgical patients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety.
• Document clinical care and respond to emergencies promptly.
