Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing seeks a Travel Sterile Processing Technician in Bethpage, NY. The role involves decontamination, assembly of sterile packs, and operating steam, ETO and other sterilization methods to support hospital operations.

You will maintain inventory for instrument sets, assist multiple units, and provide customer service while meeting state and federal requirements. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma, applicable certifications, and CPR if required; travel

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification per state regulations or contract specifications may be required.
• IAHCSMM or CBSPD certification may be required.
• One year of sterile processing experience preferred.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current health certificate per contract or state regulations.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination and assembly of sterile packs.
• Operate steam, ETO and other sterilization methods.
• Maintain inventory for instrument and equipment assembly.
• Assist daily operations across units and provide customer service.
