Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Travel Sterile Processing Technician for Chicago, IL. You will decontaminate, assemble linen packs, and operate steam and other sterilization processes while ensuring a steady supply of instruments.

This role requires maintaining inventory, supporting multiple units, and delivering reliable customer service to healthcare facilities. Travel assignments may require meeting state requirements and certification as per contract.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certification as required by state regulations or contract specifications.
• IAHCSMM or CBSPD certification may be required.
• 1 year of experience in sterile processing preferred.
• Current CPR, if applicable.
• TB questionnaire or chest X-ray, if applicable.
• Current health certificate per contract or state regulation.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate and assemble linen packs.
• Operate steam, ETO and other sterilization processes.
• Maintain inventory for instrument and equipment assembly.
• Provide customer service and support daily operations.

Sterile Processing Technician

Job Type: Travel

Pay: $1370 / Week

Hours: 40.00

Location: Chicago, IL

The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible fordecontamination, assembly of linen packs, operation of steam, ETO and otherforms of sterilization. The Sterile Processing Technician maintains adequateinventory for assembly of instruments and equipment and performs multiple tasksthat assist in the daily operation of all units as well as being responsiblefor customer service.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent?

• Certification as required by state regulations or contractspecifications?

• Certification for sterile processing technicians by theInternational Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management(IAHCSMM) or the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution(CBSPD) may be required

• One (1) year of experience in sterile processing preferred?

• Current CPR if applicable

• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)

• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
