Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Travel Stepdown RN in Jackson, TN for a 13-week assignment. The role requires one year of Stepdown experience, TN RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications.

You will monitor telemetry, administer cardiac-focused care, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, patient-centered care on a travel assignment with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
• Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) Certification.
• NIHSS Certification.
• Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments with a focus on cardiac care.
• Prepares equipment and aids physician during cardiac-related procedures.
• Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of telemetry patients.
• Observes patient and notifies supervisor or physician of status and response to interventions.
• Responds to life-saving situations according to cardiac protocols.
• Documents nursing history and physical assessments for telemetry patients.
• Initiates patient education plans focusing on cardiac health and lifestyle modifications.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive telemetry patient care.
• Maintains patient and client confidentiality.
• Performs other duties within scope of practice.
• Adheres to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
