Shift Notes: 1900-0730 - 36 hours guaranteed
Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
- Attendance Policy: Attendance is critical to meet patient care needs. A strict attendance policy will be implemented, with strikes given for absences, arriving late, or leaving shifts early without prior authorization.
- Patient Monitoring: Utilize advanced monitoring equipment to track vital signs, telemetry, and critical metrics.
- Assessment & Intervention: Perform regular assessments, recognize subtle changes in patient conditions, and implement necessary interventions or life-saving measures.
- Medication Management: Administer complex medications, IV therapies, and titrate drips as ordered.
- Specialized Care: Care for patients recovering from surgery, cardiac events, or those with complex conditions (e.g., ventilated patients, stroke patients requiring neurological checks).
- Collaboration: Work with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, therapists) to develop and implement effective care plans.
- Education: Educate patients and families on diseases, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of nursing care and patient responses.
- 2 years of RN experience in Stepdown/Progressive Care
- Telemetry monitoring experience
- Cerner experience
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA)
- Active Michigan state RN license required at the time of submission
