Job summary

American Traveler seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist for an inpatient rehabilitation role at a Level 3 Trauma Center in Sioux City, IA. The position welcomes new grads and involves day shifts with 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, 5x8s or 4x10s possible.

Responsibilities include providing and managing patient care within scope of practice as part of an interdisciplinary team; Epic EMR experience preferred; travel contracts encouraged; 50-mile residency requirement; no on-call and weekend work is voluntary.

Qualifications

• Active state SLP license required if applicable.
• Active BLS certification (AHA preferred; ARC or US Military also accepted).
• New grads welcome to apply.
• Mandatory reporter certification required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Skills checklist specific to SLP discipline required.
• Supervisory reference form completed within the last two years required.
• At least one completed travel contract preferred.
• Epic EMR experience preferred.

• Inpatient rehabilitation unit at a Level 3 Trauma Center.
• Day shift, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, 5x8s (4x10s possible).
• Weekend work is voluntary.
• No on-call requirements.
• Epic EMR experience preferred.
• Compact license accepted.
• Contribute professional and clinical knowledge as part of an interdisciplinary care team.
• Provide and manage patient care within scope of practice.
• Two of three winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, Thanksgiving) must be worked.
• Limited time-off requests permitted during peak holiday periods in late November and December.
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility, as no local candidates are accepted.
• Past UnityPoint Health employees, whether FTE or PRN float pool, are restricted from working travel assignments in other markets within 12 months of separation, unless previously employed as a UPH traveler.
