Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for a Long Term Care assignment. The role requires CCC certification and MO or compact licensure, with 1 year of SLP experience and LTC/Rehab setting background. You will treat communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders, provide both individual and group therapy, and support discharge planning.

Shift is days, 8 hours, Mon-Fri; start Oct 5, 2026 with a 13-week assignment and possible CFY supervision.

Qualifications

• Active MO state license or compact license required
• CCC certification required
• 1 year of SLP experience required
• New graduates accepted if they completed Level II clinical experience (Level I observation alone not accepted)
• LTC or Rehab setting experience required
• 1 reference required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders using standardized assessments and evidence-based practice
• Develop and adjust plans of care based on patient progress and treatment outcomes
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers
• Communicate patient progress, barriers, and treatment plans with supervisors and healthcare team members
• Complete comprehensive discharge summaries and maintain accurate clinical documentation
• Participate in required meetings including patient care conferences, utilization review, and rehabilitation meetings
• Attend facility and company required trainings and in-services
• Obtain necessary DME or supplies per regulatory and clinical requirements
• May supervise and support CFY or student Speech-Language Pathologists
• Adhere to ASHA and state practice acts, codes of conduct, and ethics standards
• No more than 7 days of RTO may be requested during the assignment
