Job summary

Northshore Home Health Care seeks a Travel Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to evaluate and treat speech, voice, and swallowing disorders in an acute care setting. You will diagnose, treat, and prevent impairments, and develop individualized treatment plans.

Educating patients and families, reporting progress, and ensuring accurate documentation are essential. This role requires standing, walking, bending, and stooping as part of daily activities in a clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of experience (new grads encouraged).
• BLS certification, ASHA-SLP National Certification, state licensing.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Ability to perform standing, walking, bending, and stooping.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and prevent communication and swallowing impairments; develop individualized treatment plans.
• Perform screenings; educate patients and families; report progress; ensure accurate documentation.
• Provide therapy for diverse patient populations with a focus on speech, language, and swallowing.
• Maintain timely communication with relevant parties, including families and medical teams.
