Job summary

Health Care Administrators Association® (HCAA) seeks a Travel Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to support acute care settings. The role involves evaluating and treating patients with speech, voice, and swallowing disorders in various facilities while traveling between sites.

The SLP will develop individualized treatment plans, conduct screenings, educate patients and families, and ensure thorough documentation and progress reporting per guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of experience in speech-language pathology; 1 year preferred; new grads encouraged.
• ASHA certification and active state license required.
• BLS certification required.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop; strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, voice, and swallowing disorders.
• Develop individualized treatment plans for each patient.
• Perform screenings and educate patients and families.
• Report progress and ensure accurate documentation per guidelines.
