Job summary

TotalMed Allied seeks a travel Speech-Language Pathologist for Purcell, OK. The role requires 1 year of experience (6 months may be accepted for exceptional candidates) and involves evaluating and planning care for patients in the acute care setting.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating speech, voice, and swallowing disorders, educating patients and families, and ensuring timely documentation. BLS and ASHA-SLP certification with state licensing are required.

Qualifications

• 6 months of experience minimum; new grads welcome.
• ASHA-SLP certification with state licensing required.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods; knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Create treatment plans to suit diverse patient needs.
• Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders.
• Educate patients and families about speech disorders and causes.
• Report progress to families, teachers, or medical professionals.
• Provide documentation following state/insurance guidelines.
