Job summary

TotalMed Allied in Alliance, NE is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for a 13-week travel assignment in the acute care setting. You will evaluate and treat speech, language, and swallowing impairments, developing personalized care plans for diverse patient populations.

Ideal candidates have 6 months of experience (1 year preferred), ASHA-SLP certification with state licensing, and BLS. The position offers a tax-free stipend and weekly pay; travel accommodations may be provided.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of experience; new grads are encouraged to apply.
• ASHA-SLP National Certification with state licensing is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods; sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Create treatment and therapy plans to suit individual needs.
• Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders.
• Educate patients and family about speech disorders and causes.
• Report progress and current status to appropriate parties (e.g., family, teachers, medical professionals).
• Provide timely documentation following state/insurance guidelines.
