Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a Travel Speech-Language Pathologist to work in Fresno, California. This 25-week assignment requires 40 hours per week with an 8-hour day and days shift. Immediate opening with competitive stipends and benefits.

The successful candidate will evaluate and treat patients with speech, voice, or swallowing impairments in an acute care setting, providing therapy planning and patient education while complying with state and insurance guidelines.

Qualifications

• 6 months minimum experience; new grads welcome
• Must have BLS and ASHA-SLP National Certification with state-specific licensing
• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods and have knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology
• ASHA, BLS, 2 Years Additional certifications may be required before assignment

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders
• Create treatment and therapy plans for diverse patient populations
• Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders
• Educate patients and families about speech disorders and causes
• Report progress to appropriate parties (family, teachers, medical professionals)
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state/insurance guidelines
