Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for a travel assignment in San Leandro, CA. The 13-week role runs 40 hours per week in a day shift, with travel benefits and stipends as noted in the posting.

Ideal candidates have ASHA certification and state licensure, at least 2 years of experience (6 months may be accepted for exceptional backgrounds), and current BLS. The SLP will assist patients with speech, voice, and swallowing impairments in an acute care setting.

Qualifications

• ASHA certification and state licensure required.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience; 6 months acceptable for exceptional cases.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Create individualized therapy plans for diverse patient populations.
• Perform screenings and educate patients and families about conditions.
• Report progress to family, teachers, or medical staff as appropriate.
• Provide timely documentation following guidelines.
