Job summary

TotalMed Allied seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Salisbury, MD. This role is 30 hours per week, with 10-hour day shifts, requiring ASHA SLP certification and BLS, plus a state license.

You will assess and treat speech, voice and swallowing disorders, develop care plans, perform screenings, educate families, and document progress in accordance with clinical and insurance guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply. Must have BLS and ASHA-SLP National Certification with state-specific licensing.
• SLP should have sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Create treatment and therapy plans to suit the individualized needs of a diverse population of patients.
• Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders.
• Educate patients and family members about speech disorders and causes, including disabilities and traumatic events.
• Report progress and current status to appropriate parties, which may include family members, teachers, or medical professionals.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.
