Job summary

Mental Health Association of Rochester is seeking a Travel Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide therapy services in an acute care setting. The role includes travel employment benefits and 8-hour day shifts, 40 hours weekly.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating speech, voice, and swallowing disorders, developing treatment plans, performing screenings, educating patients and families, and ensuring accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of experience (1 year preferred).
• BLS certification required.
• ASHA certification required.
• State licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, voice, and swallowing disorders.
• Develop personalized treatment plans.
• Perform screenings.
• Educate patients and families.
• Report progress.
• Ensure accurate documentation.
• Assist patients with speech and swallowing impairments, evaluate diverse patient populations, create therapy strategies, and communicate progress to relevant parties.
