Job summary

Remede Consulting Group seeks a travel Speech Language Pathologist for an acute care travel assignment in Syracuse, New York. The role involves evaluating and treating patients with speech, language, cognition, voice and swallowing disorders in inpatient settings for a 13-week period at 40 hours per week.

Shift is 8:00 am–4:30 pm, with one weekend every month. Requires a Master’s in Speech Pathology, NYS licensure, clinical certification (or equivalent), completion of a clinical fellowship year,

• Master's degree in Speech Pathology is required.
• NYS licensure is required.
• Clinical certification in Speech Pathology or equivalent is required.
• Completion of clinical fellowship year required.

Responsibilities

• Will administer evaluations, diagnose speech, language, cognition, communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Establish and provide treatment programs for deficits in speech, language, cognition, voice and/or swallowing.
• Schedule patients for evaluation and treatments based on patient needs.
• Provide education to patients, families and staff regarding disorders of speech, language, cognition, voice and/or swallowing.
• Participate in program development for the speech therapy discipline, PM&R department and Service Line; prepare reports and communicate with referral sources and treatment agencies.
• Participate in community programs.

Speech Language Pathologist
