Job summary

Jackson Therapy Partners is seeking a travel Speech Language Pathologist for a 12‑week assignment in Bakersfield, California. In this role, you will evaluate and treat patients with communication and swallowing disorders in an inpatient rehabilitation hospital setting.

Responsibilities include collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, documenting services, and providing weekend coverage 1–2 times per month. Travel clinicians receive a comprehensive benefits package from day one.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA or equivalent experience.

Jackson Therapy Partners is seeking a travel Speech Language Pathologist for a 12‑week assignment in Bakersfield, California.

In this role you will evaluate and treat patients with communication and swallowing disorders in an inpatient rehabilitation hospital setting. Responsibilities include collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and documenting services in accordance with facility and regulatory standards. Weekend coverage 1–2 times per month may be required.

Assignment Details

• Duration: 12 weeks
• Hours: 8 hours per shift, 40 hours per week
• Shift: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM with weekend coverage 1–2 times per month
• Employment type: Travel
• Setting: Inpatient rehabilitation hospital
• Required state license: Active California SLP license

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech‑Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA or equivalent experience.
• Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC.
• Experience in inpatient rehabilitation or acute care preferred.
• Ability to provide weekend coverage 1–2 times per month.
• 30‑day notice for onboarding and a current resume.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with dysphagia management and instrumental assessments.
• Familiarity with interdisciplinary team rounds and discharge planning in inpatient rehab.
