Job summary

Preferred Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel Speech Language Pathologist for a travel job in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. This position runs for 13 weeks with 40 hours per week, standard 8-hour shifts, and a travel employment arrangement.

The SLP will assess and treat speech, language, swallowing disorders in a skilled nursing facility setting, with responsibilities including patient education, documentation, and adhering to ASHA guidelines. Active licensure and BLS/CPR are required.

Qualifications

• Active state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• 6 months of SLP experience within the last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Recognize indications and contraindications to treatment; adapt plans accordingly.
• Instruct patient and family as needed and tailor therapy techniques.
• Document concisely, accurately, and legibly in charting and paperwork.
• Follow ASHA guidelines for ethical and high-quality performance.
