Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Speech Language Pathologist for a 13-week assignment in Margate, FL. The role requires 40 hours per week, days shift, travel employment, and immediate start with ASHA SLP certification and BLS.

Experience: 6 months minimum, 1 year preferred; new grads may apply. State licensure required. Documentation, patient education, and collaboration with families and professionals are key parts of the job.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply.
• Must have BLS and ASHA-SLP National Certification with state-specific licensing.
• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods and understand anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
• ASHA, BLS, state licensing requirements may apply before assignment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Create therapy plans tailored to diverse patient needs.
• Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders.
• Educate patients and families about speech disorders and causes.
• Report progress to families, teachers, or medical professionals.
• Provide timely documentation following guidelines.
