Job summary

Amergis is seeking a Special Education Teacher for a travel assignment in Waco, TX. The role provides services for students from kindergarten through 12th grade and requires collaboration with the Special Education Program Administrator.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree, valid state teaching certification, and one year of teaching experience. LBS1 endorsement is preferred, with health and safety screenings completed as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred).
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state regulations.
• Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate per contract or state regulation.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality services to special education students from kindergarten through grade 12.
• Participate in planning and implementation of student programs with the Special Education team.
• Coordinate with general education staff for tutorials and consultation on student needs.

Skills

Teaching experience in classroom
