Job summary

Amergis is seeking a Special Education Teacher for a contract full-time role in Austin, TX. You will serve K-12 students, provide targeted instruction, and collaborate with general education staff on individualized programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred.
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state.
• Minimum of one year teaching experience preferred.
• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred.
• CPR and health/ TB requirements per contract.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality services to special education students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
• Participate in planning and implementation of student programs as part of a team.
• Deliver special instruction, tutorial assistance and consult with general education staff.
