The Opportunity

Description

We are seeking a Sonographer to work in the Healthcare Systems and Services industry in Kentucky, United States.

Weekly Pay: $2300-$2500 before taxes

As a Travel Sonographer, you'll work for top healthcare companies across the US. Contracts range from 12 weeks up to a year. Role & Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic general imaging ultrasound examinations following AIUM and ACR guidelines.
  • Locate and image internal body elements, including blood vessels and organs, identifying anomalies.
  • Conduct a variety of diagnostic exams such as breast, abdominal, small parts, and OB/GYN.
  • Ensure patient safety and monitor for physical or emotional changes.
  • Evaluate test results for clarity and accuracy.
  • Review patient case studies with peers and physicians.
  • Inform physicians of preliminary findings as needed.
  • Distribute test results to physicians and service providers.
  • Prepare diagnostic information for interpretation.
  • Maintain patient charts, enter diagnosis and billing codes, and update patient information systems.
  • Clean and sterilize equipment and workspace.
  • Recognize equipment malfunctions and request repairs.
  • Instruct patients in pretest preparation and answer questions.
  • Comply with Siemens, hospital, and departmental policies.
  • Maintain equipment according to Infection Control procedures.
  • Continue education to maintain technical competency.
  • Perform equipment quality checks and troubleshoot issues.
  • Follow quality assurance guidelines and ensure patient confidentiality.
  • Adhere to HIPAA and OSHA standards.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications & Experience

Required:

  • Minimum 2 years clinical ultrasound experience in general, breast, and abdomen specialties.
  • Experience with Acuson S2000 preferred.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Valid ARDMS license
  • Valid CPR certification
