Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for a travel assignment in Front Royal, Virginia. The role requires a minimum of 6 months of experience (new grads welcome) and offers a 13-week engagement with 40 hours per week.

You will diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders; develop therapy plans; educate patients and families; and ensure timely documentation consistent with state and insurance guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 6 months of experience; new grads are encouraged to apply.
• Must possess ASHA-SLP National Certification with state-specific licensure and BLS.
• SLP must be able to stand and walk for long periods and have knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Create treatment and therapy plans to meet the individualized needs of patients.
• Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders.
• Educate patients and family members about speech disorders and causes.
• Report progress and current status to appropriate parties and medical professionals.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and insurance guidelines.
