Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for a travel assignment in Stuart, Virginia. The role involves evaluating and treating patients with speech, language, voice and swallowing disorders in the acute care setting, with a 13-week duration and 40 hours per week.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of experience (6 months accepted for strong backgrounds), holds BLS and ASHA-SLP national certification, and is licensed to practice in Virginia.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience preferred; 6 months may be considered for exceptional candidates.
• Must have BLS and ASHA-SLP national certification with state license.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods; knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Create treatment and therapy plans to suit individuals.
• Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders.
• Educate patients and family about speech disorders and causes.
• Report progress and current status to appropriate parties.
• Provide timely documentation following state/insurance guidelines.
