Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Sioux City, IA. The SLP will evaluate, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders across ages, developing individualized therapy plans and coordinating with the healthcare team.

The role requires an active SLP license in the state, and a current BLS certification. Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree with CCC-SLP, and eligibility for licensure or additional

Qualifications

• Valid SLP license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• Master’s Degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology
• New grads welcome to apply; experience preferred
• Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders across age groups
• Design individualized therapy plans based on evaluations and goals
• Record progress and maintain documentation in EMR
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on communication strategies and home exercises
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate care
• Maintain infection control and safety standards during therapy sessions
• Pursue ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices
• Perform other duties within scope of practice
