Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing seeks a Travel Speech Language Pathologist for a 13-week assignment in Eureka, California. The SLP will assess and treat communication and swallowing disorders across ages, developing individualized plans and collaborating with the clinical team.

Responsibilities include progress-based plan adjustments, documentation in the EMR, and educating patients and families on strategies and exercises. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• Master’s degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
• New grads are welcome to apply; additional certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders using standardized assessments.
• Design personalized therapy programs based on evaluation findings and patient goals.
• Maintain detailed documentation in the EMR and monitor patient progress.
• Educate patients and families on effective communication strategies and home practice.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment following infection control and regulatory standards.
• Engage in quality assurance and ongoing professional development.
• Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice.
