Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Travel Speech Language Pathologist for a 13-week assignment in Beckley, West Virginia. The SLP will evaluate and treat communication and swallowing disorders, developing individualized plans and collaborating with a clinical team to improve patient outcomes.

Responsibilities include assessments, treatment design, progress tracking in the EMR, and education for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Valid SLP license in accordance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and CCC-SLP certification.
• New grads are welcome; other licenses may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders across diverse populations.
• Design personalized therapy plans based on evaluations and patient goals.
• Monitor progress, adjust treatment plans, and document in the EMR.
• Educate patients and caregivers on strategies, home exercises, and safe swallowing.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment following infection control protocols.
• Engage in quality improvement and ongoing professional development.
